Mark was predeceased by his parents Ruby and Elvie Loewen. He is survived by his brothers, Jim Loewen, Wichita; Rick Loewen, Ocoee, Florida; and Don Loewen, North Aurora, Illinois. Mark graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1976, and from Tabor College in 1985 with a degree in Psychology. Mark put his education to work as a counselor, mental health worker, psychiatric technician and as a case worker. He worked in his chosen field until multiple sclerosis interfered.
